Youth Worker Degree Apprenticeship
From the largest provider of apprenticeships to schools
This programme isn’t just about study; it’s about becoming a professional youth worker. Our approach reflects youth work values: relationships, reflection, and real-world impact. The YWDA combines a university degree with paid work in a youth work setting.
Designed for people already working in youth-related roles who want to deepen their skills, build leadership capacity, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

- Over 36–38 months
Qualifications
- A Level 6 BA (Hons) in Youth Work
- JNC-recognised professional youth worker status.
- PGDip (Leadership and Management) for Masters Progression Pathways
Apprenticeship Levy
Fully Funded through the apprenticeship levy.

Youth Worker Degree Apprenticeship
Eligibility
- People already working in youth-related roles
- Employer must support its integration into your weekly schedule.
Assessment
- Complete 330 HE credits across three years.
- Complete a Capstone Project (30 credits).
- Submit a comprehensive professional portfolio.
- Complete at least 160 hours of alternative practice.
